3 Easy Ways to Curate Your Home Decor for the Holidays

When decorating for the holidays, less is more. I'm sharing my tips to keep your holiday decor classic and simple…

Tip #1: Design Your Decor Around a Classic Palette

For an elevated feel to your holiday decor, try a subtle color palette. Too many colors feel overdone and busy. For Christmas, I recommend color pairings like silver and blue, red and white or green and gold. Another option is to go neutral for a modern aesthetic by pulling in whites and brass tones.

Tip #2: Create Contrasting Textures and Materials for a Curated Vibe

Decorating with plastic decorations is fine in moderation, but you can add real greenery or wood textures to tablescapes and mantels for a high-end feel. Your local Christmas tree lot will have a plethora of tree branches that you can pick up at a minimal cost, if not for free.

Tip #3: Style Your Space Like a Designer

Group items in odd numbers for a more appealing display. For example, displaying 3 holiday items with varying heights (ie: pumpkins, decorative Christmas trees, and pine cones) gives these items a curated feel.
